Career Jumps: Meet Deina

Date March 24, 2026

Hey everyone 👋🏻 I’m Deina, a Team Lead at CyberCare. I’d love to share a bit of my story!

📚 From cosmetology to tech

Before joining CyberCare, I studied cosmetology. However, I realized the field didn’t spark the passion I was looking for. I decided to challenge myself by stepping into a completely different industry. I then joined CyberCare as a Customer Success Manager and for the first time felt like I was in the right place.

📈 Career journey

When I joined CyberCare, the product I supported was growing faster than anyone could have expected. Being naturally driven, I consistently took ownership of new challenges. This proactive approach allowed me to adapt quickly, absorb information, build strong bonds with my team, and create workflows that improved efficiency for myself and my colleagues. I quickly became Senior Customer Success Manager, then Shift Manager, and after completing a few leadership courses, I finally felt ready to step into my current role as Team Lead.

💡 My philosophy

Curiosity is at the core of everything I do. If I don’t know something, I have to find out. Alongside that is a strong sense of ownership. I’ve never been one to sit around and wait for changes to happen; I prefer to make those changes myself or collaborate with my colleagues to make things better.

📸 Behind the lens

I’m passionate about photography and have recently been exploring ways to make the process feel more ‘romantic’. I’ve started a small collection of cameras and am currently experimenting with film. I have a funny (and slightly tragic) story: I bought a film camera, loaded it up, and took a bunch of photos during my holidays and other special moments. When I went to get the film developed, it turned out to be completely empty! After being sad for a few hours, I bought a new roll and started again. Fingers crossed, I actually get to see the photos this time.

🌱 The power of the pause

The most important lesson I’ve learned is that I don’t have to achieve everything or find every answer right this second. Taking a healthy stop is essential – it gives you the space to reflect, be proud of your progress, and truly enjoy the journey.
